A disk is rotating at 90 rpm.coin weighin 20g placed 10cm away frm centr f disk. what centrifugal force?
How is centrifugal force used?
Shutting Valves on a pump (posative displacement and centrifugal)?
Very simple question here.If i shut a valve down the line of a pump supplying a fluid how does the pump react to the closure?I'm sure a positive displacement pump wont like it one bit and will fail where on the pump fails? is there safety valves that lift? What about your centrifugal pumps? does nothing happen?Thank You
Have cosmic centrifugal forces been measured?
There should be measurable centrifugal forces from the earth's revolution around the sun and also the rotation of the galaxy, just as there is when one rides a merry go round. Have these forces ever been measured?
Why the centrifugal pumps have two bearings?
I refer to the overhung impeller pump. They normally have two bearings supporting the shaft, and an oil box between the bearings . Why is that? why not only one bearing? what would happen if they are manufactured with one bearing only?
What role do friction and centrifugal force play in steering around a curve?
How centrifugal verticle inline pump works?
Which is better for bladder tanks? jet pump or centrifugal booster pump?
I'm planning to increase pressure in our water system at home.So we plan to use pump with 120gal bladder tank in a 30 50 psi drawdown system. We were given the option to use 3 4hp jet pump or 1hp centrifugal booster pump.surprisingly, the performance curve of the jet pump gives far better head than the centrifugal pump even with the lower hp. plus the fact that the max head of the centrifugal pump is just 100ft. 43psi . How could it reach the 50psi which we want the bladder tank to release?Another issue is the water source is from an overhead water tank, wherein they also say that jet pumps are designed for underground water source. But i like the numbers it shows on the performance curve, particularly the lower hp with the higher max head. because im afraid the 1hp centrifugal pump might wear out easily if it is having a hard time reaching the 50 psi or not reach it at all
What refrigerant was used in Willis Carrier's first centrifugal compressors in the 1920's?
Why centrifugal force is not included in a free body diagram?
How to calculate metal to be poured in centrifugal casting.?
how we can calculate bore size of centrifugal casting die and then how much t0 pour molten metal in that die to get required thickness of round pipe.
Centrifugal language factor?
What is an example of language being a centrifugal force, and a centripital?
Is "Centrifugal Force" real or not?
I have often heard that there is no such thing as a centrifugal force. But picture a man swinging from a rope. The tension provides a centripetal force and thus he has a centripetal acceleration. But does the component of the gravitational force acting radially outward from the axis of rotation not classify as a " Centrifugal Force" ? Centrifugal does mean " directed radially outward" right?
Centrifugal compressor?
Can a centrifugal compressor compress 300cm 2 of atmospheric air at 101kPa into 30cm 2?How big would it be?Sorry big blue I was very unclear. Firstly I am quite embarrassed I typed cm 2, not cm 3. I don't make mistakes like that often , forgive me. I'll just say cubic cm. Secondly, yes I am very unfamiliar with centrifugal and axial compression. Can I compress 300 cubic cm of air into a 30 cubic cm volume with the centrifugal type compressor? And what is a feasible flow rate in litres sec? Can it compress 1 5 litres sec?How big would it be is a bit baffling really come to think of it... Could you direct me to such a device instead so I can analyse the size myself.
