Question: Chiller in refrigerators ?

Why the chillers or ice makers in regrigerators are always at the top? is there any fundamentals of heat transfer linked with it???

Cooled air gets denser and tends to go down to cool the lower parts of the refrigerator.

Because warm air rises and cold air sinks down. It's the most efficient way to build a refrigerator, because the cold will naturally flow down from the freezer into the fridge.
