Question: I need 3 disadvantages and 3 advantages for wind turbines please?

Disadvantages: (1) Cost (2) No wind no power (3) need a large open area to install them Advantages : (1) Clean energy (2) Nice place to walk the dog (3) Low maintenance

Disadvantage 1 wind speed varies.Some times no wind. you can not put them every where only specific places where there is wind. wind direction changes. Advantage no fuel cost so less operating cost. Dont pollute air or water. Less floor area. No sound or vibrations like diesal engines.

They can appear ugly to some people.They don't produce cheap electricity. They must be located where there is a lot of wind. Limited CO2 pollution. There is some pollution associated with the manufacture and installation. Also with the maintenance. Limited outside energy needed to operate. Again because of maintence there is some outside energy needed. They are popular with environmentalists.

Advantages: - Free 'green' electricity after building - Don't use an fossil fuels, will never run out of wind - Need very little maintenance Disadvantages: - Can be an eyesore to the Landscape / Require service roads building in remote areas. - No electricity when wind is not blowing so can only be part of the solution - Sometimes have to be built in remote areas where its windy and so need transmission lines from there.
