What animal goes well with a snake?
Hey all, I've got an awesome enclosure idea for my snake who is 8months old.I want to build a big cage where on one side it has branches and what not for my snake marcel and on the other side, there is like water kind of like the beach .And in the water I want there to be another animal or several other creatures. I need to know what I could buy, knowing that Marcel will not harm them and they will not harm him?I was thinking perhaps a turtle, some kind of fish? Can someone who really knows it well please explain the Doppler Shift to me in the simplest terms possible?
I'm taking an Exploring the Universe class and I'm doing my reading on the Doppler Shift and finding it extremely confusing. The wavelength aspect is weird to me, why are the wavelengths shorter in an oncoming object, do they just appear that way or do they really reduce in size? Same for receding objects. Please explain

The acceleration due to gravity is 9.8 m s 2 and the speed of sound in air is 321 m s. I found the max it can be and I got 88.9232m. But, I can't figure out how to put the reaction timing in there somehow. Any ideas???

DNA floats out of well after gel extraction?
I am currently trying to isolate a vector pre treated with CIP calf intestinal alkaline phosphatase from a gel. After cutting open my vector with two restriction enzymes, I run it on a gel and extract the bands. This always works fine, and I get a high DNA yield after gel extraction. I then treat with CIP for an hour at 37 degrees C to remove the phosphate bonds on either end of the cut vector. The problem I am having is this... after the 1 hour treatment on a heating block I add sufficient amount of loading dye and pipette into a well in a gel. The gel is 1 %. The product has floated out of the well immediately both times I have tried it. I have ruled out a gel problem as I tried loading just loading dye on its own and that settles fine. I'm guessing a possible ethanol problem but I follow the Sigma gel extraction kit exactly two x 1 minute spins, one with ethanol wash, one without . This should successfully remove the ethanol. But.... as SOON as the product touches the TBE buffer the gel is run in... it disappears like a ghost.Any help greatly appreciated, thanks.

If ALL of the 45,000 oil and natural gas wells, along with ALL of the coal deposits in the world, were to ALL burn COMPLETELY DRY so ALL the rest of the oil, coal, and natural gas in the world would be COMPLETELY burned , like a larger version of the Kuwait oil wells in the Gulf War, how long would the global drop in temperature last, at the ABSOLUTE MOST?
